Bootleggers Chill Simpson Hot Streak Thursday, May 15th , 2025 It was a doubly miserable day for Chandler Simpson of the Ottawa Lynx, as he saw his 26-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 2-1, to the Nashville Bootleggers at Red Hawks Ballpark. The 24-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Bootleggers. "Anyone on a 26-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Nashville manager said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." So far this season, Simpson has gotten 61 hits in 151 at-bats for a .404 batting average with 1 home run. His stats include 18 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has played in 34 games. |
