Hit Streak Now at 20 for Gonzalez Saturday, May 17th , 2025 Chalk up another one for Providence Friars right fielder Oscar Gonzalez. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Gonzalez went 1-for-4 in today's game at Crackers Ballpark but saw his club defeated, 8-3, by the host Memphis Magicians. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Friars manager said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Oscar Gonzalez grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. In his 2025 season totals, Gonzalez has 6 home runs, .392 BA, .421 OBP, 21 RBIs and 20 runs scored. |
