Cameron Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Providence Tuesday, May 20th , 2025 Daz Cameron came rolling into today's game against the Providence Friars with a 27-game hitting string, but he left it on the field at Ironmen Ballpark. The 28-year-old Nashville Bootleggers center fielder went 0-for-5 against the Friars as the Bootleggers fell, 8-7. "I swung at a couple pitches I probably shouldn't have and I didn't swing at a couple I probably should have," he said, grimacing. "But that's what makes a hit streak so impressive in the first place -- it only takes a couple mistakes to end it all." For the season, Cameron is hitting .361, batted in 20 runs with 6 home runs and 32 runs scored. |
