Diaz Cracks 3 HR for Typhoon Saturday, July 26th , 2025 Some days you can't have it all, as Hawaii Typhoon second baseman Isan Diaz discovered when he cracked three homers against the New Orleans Greys, and still lost. "I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game." The 29-year-old got his name in the league record books, but the Greys walked away with the triumph, 10-9, at Diamonds Ballpark. Diaz finished the day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats and 6 RBIs. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," he said in the postgame interview. Isan Diaz hit a solo-shot off Jacob Nix in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Evan Kravetz in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Evan Kravetz in the 9th. Diaz is hitting at a .307 mark this season. His stats show 23 home runs, 69 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has played 80 games for the Typhoon. |
