Walcott Hittin' on All Cylinders
Friday, August 8th , 2025
Sebastian Walcott was jubilant as the Hawaii Typhoon left the field with a win, 7-3, over the Sacramento A's. He had every right to be.
The 19-year-old shortstop hit for the cycle at Hawaii Fields, had a 4-for-4 game and added 2 RBI and 2 runs to boot.
"It's too bad I can't do that every day," Walcott said with a smile to reporters after the game. "It would do wonders for my batting average."
Hawaii manager was "proud" of the shortstop's feat, but was not expecting it to happen.
"Cycles are tough because triples are tough," the skipper said. "As soon as the ball left the bat on that triple, guys were jumping off the bench for him. Honestly, I wasn't sure he was going to be able to leg it out."
Sebastian Walcott hit a solo-shot off Jose Urquidy in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
For the season, Walcott is batting .292 with 63 hits and 12 home runs. He has scored 33 times and batted in 39.
