Yainer Diaz Injured, Out for Year Tuesday, August 12th , 2025 The Hawaii Typhoon were dealt a severe blow when Yainer Diaz was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the Mexicali Yavapais. After the game, the team trainer reported Diaz might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 26-year-old catcher out for the rest of the season with a broken bone in the elbow. They indicated it would take Diaz at least 4-5 months to heal. This year, Diaz is hitting .400 with 13 home runs and 36 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .436 clip and scored 37 runs. |
