Rangers Whitley Gone for Year

Kodi Whitley has to call it a season. The Omaha Rangers reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Hawaii Typhoon and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Whitley was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as bone chips in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 4 months.
This year, Whitley has registered no saves in 21 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 2-3 won-lost mark with a 5.14 ERA. In 49 innings he has fanned 28.
