Long Beach-Portland Fight Results in Suspensions Tuesday, April 28th , 2026 If there wasn't a history between Ryan Waldschmidt of Long Beach and Tom Cosgrove of Portland, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 2 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Waldschmidt said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." In 13 games Waldschmidt is hitting .400 this season with 22 hits, 1 home run, 9 RBIs, 6 walks, .468 OBP and has scored 11 runs. |
