2-Game Suspensions for Palacios-Crawford Fight
Saturday, May 9th , 2026
Sometimes on the baseball diamond disparaging words are uttered in anger and lead to more than what the players bargained for. That's what happened at yesterday's Dayton Dragons-Albany Ambassadors game at Ambassadors Ballpark. What started off as a war of words ended up a tag team match as both clubs rushed on the field to defend their honor. When the umpires sorted it all out, they ejected Dayton's Josh Palacios and Albany's Reggie Crawford from the game for their roles in starting the melee.
Today the players were notified by the league office that they had been suspended 2 games for violating league rules.
Currently Palacios is batting .301 with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
Crawford has taken the mound for 7 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-0 record with a 7.56 ERA. The Albany reliever has limited opposing batters to a .290 batting average.

Arocho Cracks 5 Hits
Friday, May 8th , 2026
Madison second baseman Jeremy Arocho could do no wrong in his team's 7-6 win over the Black Bears, as he collected 5 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Black Bears skipper said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Arocho agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Jeremy Arocho singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run triple in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
For the season, Arocho has produced 17 hits in 59 at-bats for a .288 average with 1 home run and gotten on base at a .338 clip.
