Season Possibly Over for Maximo Castillo

The Plattsburgh Beacons were dealt a blow today when starting pitcher Maximo Castillo left the game with an undisclosed injury. The team has now revealed that Castillo has suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament and will most likely miss the rest of the season as a result of the injury.
In 14 starts this season, Castillo has recorded 1 win and absorbed 4 losses. He has pitched 58.1 innings, allowed 79 hits, struck out 44 and has a 8.02 ERA.

Polcovich 5-for-6 Against Quebec

Even as a kid, Kaden Polcovich said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Ballpark of Quebec, Polcovich showed how well he learned that lesson.
The 27-year-old center fielder had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Madison Millers, helping his team knock off the Quebec Castors by a score of 23-16.
"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did."
Kaden Polcovich hit a two-run home run off Matt Manning in the 1st, struck out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This season, Polcovich is hitting at a .251 pace with 6 home runs, 31 RBIs and has scored 34 times.

Red-Hot Dunham Scorches Castors

Elijah Dunham was the King of Swing at Ballpark of Quebec in the 23-16 Madison Millers win over the Quebec Castors. The Madison left fielder stepped into the batter's box 7 times against Quebec and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him.
"Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt good. 5-for-7 isn't bad for your batting average either."
Elijah Dunham hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Devereaux Harrison in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Dillon Tate in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
Dunham is currently hitting at a .275 pace with 14 home runs and 58 RBIs.
