3 Bombs for Ronny Mauricio Monday, August 18th , 2025 Madison Millers shortstop Ronny Mauricio sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Champagne Black Bears, Mauricio told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Mauricio pushed the Millers past the Black Bears, 13-7. To go along with the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Mauricio told reporters after the game. Ronny Mauricio hit a two-run home run off Luis Patino in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Luis Patino in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jose Ruiz in the 5th and grounded out in the 6th. This year, Mauricio has hit at a .333 clip with 12 RBIs, 4 home runs and 7 runs scored. |
