Canton Halts Liranzo's Hitting Steak Wednesday, August 20th , 2025 The streak has been snapped. Thayron Liranzo failed to get a hit in today's game against the Canton Cutters, bringing his 30-game hitting spree to an end. The 22-year-old Trenton catcher was 0-for-3, but the Thunder got the win and defeated the Cutters, 3-1. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Liranzo said. "I got to 30 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" This season, Liranzo is batting .402 with 10 home runs. He has scored 32 runs and driven in 34. |
