Black Bears End Gladney Streak Friday, August 22nd , 2025 The Champagne Black Bears pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting DJ Gladney hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 5-2 victory over the Plattsburgh Beacons at Black Bears Ballpark. The disappointing performance ended a 24-game hitting streak for the center fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Gladney said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." This season, Gladney has hit at a .310 clip with 80 RBIs, 24 home runs and 68 runs scored. |
