Northcut Whacks 3 Out of the Park for Harrisburg Sunday, August 24th , 2025 It was a day for the record books for Harrisburg Senators third baseman Nick Northcut, who walloped three out of Ballpark of Canton against the Cutters. However, not even a three-homer game could prevent the Cutters from getting the 12-9 victory. "We threw some good pitches and they hit 'em, and we made some bad pitches and they hit 'em. That's a good strategy for losing ballgames," Harrisburg skipper joked after the loss. Northcut still had a few opportunities to celebrate along the way. He was 3-for-5 for the day, batting in 5 runs and scoring 3 times. "I never, ever thought I would hit three home runs," Northcut said. "I hit three home runs once when I was 12 in Little League and I thought that was going to be the last time." Nick Northcut struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Derek Diamond in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off David Fletcher in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Will Klein in the 9th. So far this season, Northcut is batting .306 with 33 home runs, 83 RBIs and 66 runs scored. He has 95 hits in 310 at-bats, 23 walks and a .365 OBP. Northcut has played in 83 games. |
