League Issues 4-Game Suspensions for Brawl Monday, June 15th , 2026 Cesar Prieto of the Hempstead Flying Dutchmen was not happy with Austin Warren, and his frustration showed when he went after the Reading player during yesterday's game at Roughnecks Ballpark. Both benches cleared as they rushed to the aid of their teammates. Order was soon restored as Prieto and Warren were pulled away from each other. They were ejected from the game. Both players were suspended 4 games by the league office as a result of their tussle. "It's something that happens in baseball every once in a while," Prieto commented later. "We get frustrated with another player and sometimes things go too far. We'll both take our suspensions and then come back ready to play. I got no hard feelings." On the year, Prieto has hit .350 with no home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Warren has taken the mound for 17 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 4-1 record with a 4.01 ERA. The Reading reliever has limited opposing batters to a .284 batting average. |
