Reading-Quebec Fight Results in Suspensions
Monday, May 12th , 2025
Yesterday at Ballpark of Quebec Ray-Patrick Didder and JJ Goss got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Reading Roughnecks and Quebec Castors. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game.
Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Didder will have to sit out 4 while Goss would be given a 2-game suspension for their roles in the brawl.
Didder currently has a .267 batting average with 20 hits, 2 homers, 16 RBIs, 16 runs scored and a .400 OBP.
On his stats sheet for the year Goss shows a 1-0 record, 0 starts, 7.1 innings, 10 strikeouts and a 6.14 ERA.
