On a Roll: Neustrom Hits for Cycle Saturday, July 26th , 2025 Robert Neustrom was hard to stop but his Shreveport Captains were not. The Jacksonville Jackals overcame a cycle by Neustrom to win, 8-7, against the Captains at Sluggers Ballpark. "It feels good for me, but it would have felt even better if we had won that ballgame," Neustrom told the press corps. "I still enjoy it, but I would've liked to win the game, too." He cracked 5 hits in 6 at-bats, had 3 runs batted in and 1 run scored. Although his team lost, the Captains right fielder will still get his place in the record books. Robert Neustrom tripled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Aaron Ochsenbein in the 8th, flied out in the 9th, walked in the 11th and singled in the 13th. On the year, Neustrom is hitting .269 with 39 hits, 14 home runs, 35 RBIs, .341 OBP and has scored 26 runs. View Boxscore |
