Myrtle Beach Shortstop Nets SL Award Monday, August 25th , 2025 The votes have been tallied and the winner of the Southern League Player of the Week has been named. It was awarded earlier today to Ivan Castillo for his great week at the plate. The Myrtle Beach shortstop took home the trophy by banging out 14 hits in 24 at-bats for a .583 batting average, driving in 6 runs and scoring 6 times. So far this season, Castillo is hitting .424 with no home runs, 14 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 28 hits in 66 at-bats and a .458 OBP. |
