Big Bang! 3 HR for Birmingham's Callahan Saturday, June 13th , 2026 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Bombers-Captains game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Birmingham left fielder Brett Callahan thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Birmingham to a win, 11-5, over Shreveport. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Callahan said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Callahan was 3-for-5 on the day with 7 runs batted in. Brett Callahan flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Joan Adon in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Ryan Brown in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Kody Funderburk in the 8th. Currently Callahan has 9 home runs and a .259 batting average. |
