Roberts Booms 3 out of the Park Thursday, June 25th , 2026 It was a special day for Caleb Roberts, but less so for the Moore Tornadoes. Roberts slammed three home runs against the Shreveport Captains, but the Captains outhit him and got the win by a score of 16-13. "Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game -- I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Moore right fielder finished the day at Jazz Ballpark with 5 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBI and 4 runs scored. Caleb Roberts hit a two-run home run off Alan Rangel in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Alan Rangel in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Ryan Brown in the 8th. On the year, Roberts has hit .291 with 13 home runs, 42 RBIs and scored 28 runs. |
