The Birmingham Bombers second baseman tore up the Clearwater Beach Pirates to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Clearwater Beach Grounds. The offensive onslaught from Devers powered the 8-7 Bombers win. "Devers was a tough out," Clearwater Beach manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Jose Devers singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jake Eddington in the 8th.
