5 Hits for Tornadoes Walsh
Wednesday, August 26th , 2026
Jared Walsh was at the head of a Moore hit parade at Clearwater Beach Grounds. The first baseman went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Tornadoes to a nice 12-9 victory over the Clearwater Beach Pirates.
"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Walsh told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."
Pirates skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate."
"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
Jared Walsh singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
To date this year, Walsh is batting .268 with 6 home runs.
