SL Announces Outstanding Batter Award Tuesday, September 1st , 2026 Snap, crackle and pop! In August, Kyle McCann snapped up the Southern League Batter of the Month trophy by cracking 37 hits and popping 11 home runs. For the month he hit a solid .398 with 34 RBIs and 20 runs scored. The Birmingham catcher also picked up 8 walks to compile a .446 on-base percentage. McCann is hitting .350 so far this season with 88 RBIs and 68 runs scored. He has 105 hits including 28 home runs, 42 walks and .431 OBP. |
