Manea Sizzles -- Smokes Rattlers for 5 Hits Monday, July 21st , 2025 Even as a kid, Scott Manea said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Rattlers Ballpark, Manea showed how well he learned that lesson. The 29-year-old catcher had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Tempe Titans, helping his team knock off the Midland Rattlers by a score of 9-1. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." Scott Manea singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
