Yorke Week's Top Player

Plano-Frisco fans have something to crow about today as Plano-Frisco second baseman Nick Yorke nabbed the Texas League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days.
"I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Yorke.
He posted a .471 average (8-for-17) this past week with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs, and 6 runs scored.
This year, Yorke has hit at a .301 clip with 90 hits, 18 home runs, 68 RBIs and 59 runs scored.
