Loomis Grabs TL Reliever of the Year Award Thursday, October 1st , 2026 He may only be 24, but Eric Loomis of the Plano-Frisco Roughriders has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Texas League. The reliever was today named the TL Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2026. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 5 saves in 38 relief appearances and 60 strikeouts in 56.1 innings. He had a record of 2-2 to go with his 4.15 ERA. He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 8. Alek Jacob of the San Jose Thorns finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Ben Hess of the Amarillo Armadillos finished third.
