Diaz Joins 3-HR Club

It was a special day for Jordan Diaz, but less so for the Plano-Frisco Roughriders.
Diaz slammed three home runs against the San Jose Thorns, but the Thorns outhit him and got the win by a score of 11-10.
"Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game -- I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em."
The Plano-Frisco third baseman finished the day at Roughriders Ballpark with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored.
Jordan Diaz struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tink Hence in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Tink Hence in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Nick Davila in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
This season in 88 games, Diaz has hit at a .392 clip with 146 hits, 28 home runs, 101 RBIs and 80 runs scored.
