Season Possibly Over for Ronny Henriquez
Thursday, August 21st , 2025
The doctors have spoken and Ronny Henriquez of the Amarillo Armadillos didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Henriquez sustained his season-ending injury during the Plano-Frisco Roughriders game yesterday at Amarillo Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Amarillo medical staff reported Henriquez had a torn meniscus and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
Henriquez has gone to the hill for 31 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 2-2 record with a 4.60 ERA. The Amarillo reliever has limited opposing batters to a .322 batting average.
