Great Day for Dickinson -- 5 Hits Thursday, June 25th , 2026 San Jose Thorns second baseman Daniel Dickinson had a day to remember at Amarillo Grounds, ripping apart the Amarillo Armadillos and sparking the 11-4 Thorns win. Dickinson wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Dickinson told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Daniel Dickinson grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
