Bad News for Newport News, Macuare Injured Wednesday, August 13th , 2025 When Angel Macuare was hurt against the Prince William Panthers, the Newport News Destroyers were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 25-year-old reliever suffered a torn rotator cuff throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Macuare would miss 4 months of the season. So far this season, Macuare has picked up 1 save in 17 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 2-0 won-lost mark with a 5.67 ERA and fanned 32 batters in 33.1 innings. |
