Newport News's Morales Bags Car Batting Award Friday, May 1st , 2026 When Yohandy Morales stepped up to the plate in April he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Carolina League Batter of the Month award. The young Newport News first baseman posted a .439 batting average with 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 14 runs. Morales also worked pitchers for 11 walks to post a .529 on-base percentage. |
