Lloyd Socks It to Buccaneers, Cracks 5 Hits Friday, June 26th , 2026 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Matt Lloyd is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Kingston Buccaneers at Panthers Ballpark. The monster effort from the 30-year-old left fielder helped the Prince William Panthers get the win, 14-8. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Buccaneers manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Matt Lloyd doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Brooks Auger in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Cory Wall in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. Lloyd has a .369 average and a .473 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 80 hits, 14 home runs and driven in 48 runs. View Boxscore |
