Mathis Casts Spell Over Provo, as Stars Win Wednesday, August 13th , 2025 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Provo Peaks as starter Cole Mathis shut them out, 5-0, at Stars Ballpark. The Malibu pitcher struck out 8 and walked 0 while allowing 5 hits. "Mathis was good but he wasn't flawless," Provo manager said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Malibu, but this is on us."
