Red-Hot Heredia Scorches Marines Thursday, September 4th , 2025 Starling Heredia had an answer for everything the Merced Marines threw at him at Ballpark of Mountain View. The Mountain View left fielder went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Pacifics a win, 9-8. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Heredia said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Starling Heredia hit a solo-shot off John Carver in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
