Malibu Halts Swift's Hitting Steak Friday, June 12th , 2026 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Drew Swift as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 1 at-bat at the hands of the Malibu Stars. It wasn't all bad for the 27-year-old second baseman and the San Bernadino 66ers however, as they defeated Malibu, 5-1, at Stars Ballpark. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Swift laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." At present, Swift is batting .339 with 38 hits and no home runs. He has knocked in 14 runs and scored 16 times. |
