Connor Sizzles -- Smokes Tigers for 5 Hits Saturday, April 12th , 2025 It seemed Gainesville Gators left fielder Caden Connor could do no wrong, but it still didn't come out right. The Gators fell against the Tampa Tigers by the score of 16-15. Connor did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Tampa prevailed at Ballpark of Tampa. "I felt real good, but my best just wasn't enough," Connor said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that." Caden Connor hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Wyatt Sparks in the 9th.
