FSL Top Pitcher for August Picked Monday, September 1st , 2025 Most of the time the starting pitchers get the glory, but not this month. A reliever, Francisco Morales, has been named the Pitcher of the Month in the Florida State League. In August, the Lakeland bullpen ace starred with 10 saves in 11 relief appearances, logging 9.1 innings, 13 strikeouts, 6 walks and a 1.93 ERA. Morales finished the month with no wins and no losses -- and captured the trophy as the league's number one pitcher. Checking out his season stats to date, Morales has 28 saves in 39 relief appearances with a 1-4 mark and an ERA of 3.86. Teams are batting .227 against him. |
