Rucker Batters Tampa Big Time Sunday, April 12th , 2026 Carson Rucker had an answer for everything the Tampa Tigers threw at him at Ballpark of Tampa. The St. Lucie shortstop went 5-for-7 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Sand Gnats a win, 12-10. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Rucker said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Carson Rucker struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jackson Humphries in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Brendan Murphy in the 8th, doubled in the 9th, doubled in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.
