Lakeland lost to the Dunedin Danger, 8-7, at Ballpark of Dunedin, but Levi Jordan kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Catfish second baseman has now delivered hits in 20 straight games.
"Levi has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Lakeland manager told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Levi Jordan hit a solo-shot off Hunter Mann in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
This season, Jordan is batting .404 with 6 home runs.
