Dunedin Halts Frey's Hitting Steak Thursday, June 18th , 2026 The 20-game hitting streak is over. Lakeland Catfish right fielder Ethan Frey failed to get a hit against the Dunedin Danger and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 22-year-old went 0-for-4 in his club's 12-8 victory over the Danger at Catfish Ballpark. "I think I only made it to 20 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak." This season, Frey is batting .286 with 8 home runs. He has scored 34 runs and driven in 37. |
