Cancel of Vero Beach Crowned Best Player Monday, August 24th , 2026 It was an extraordinary week for Gabriel Cancel of the Vero Beach Blue Angels. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .440, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Florida State League. Last week Cancel went 11-for-25, racked up 4 home runs and 14 RBIs and scored 7 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Vero Beach third baseman. Cancel is hitting .338 this year with 16 home runs and 71 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .421, 32 walks and scored 51 times. |
