River Bandits Pina to Miss Year Sunday, July 27th , 2025 Quad City starting pitcher Robinson Pina could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn rotator cuff. He exited yesterday's South Bend game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Pina would be out 10 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." This season, Pina has rung up 4 wins and 5 losses in 15 games. He has an ERA of 5.10 and has fanned 87 batters in 77.2 innings. |
