San Antonio-Modesto Fight Results in Suspensions Thursday, August 21st , 2025 After an intense confrontation, both the Vipers Carson DeMartini and the Miracle Luis Moncada were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent San Antonio-Modesto game. Carson DeMartini will miss 4 games, while Luis Moncada was suspended for 9 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Carson DeMartini commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." DeMartini is batting .258 with 18 home runs and 76 RBIs this season. Moncada has taken the mound for 33 relief appearances this season, nailing down 4 saves while notching a 3-3 record with a 5.38 ERA. The Modesto reliever has limited opposing batters to a .307 batting average. |
