Romero Smacks 4 Homers Against South Bend Saturday, August 23rd , 2025 Mikey Romero of the Fort Wayne Bucks had a history-making game against the South Bend Fighting Irish, clobbering 4 home runs in an awesome display of power in the 17-6 Bucks victory. The Fort Wayne shortstop went 4-for-6, had 10 RBIs and scored 4 times in the game. "There have been a few times when I consciously tried to hit one out," said Romero later. "It doesn't often work, but it did today for the last one. I guess this day was just meant to be." Mikey Romero hit a two-run home run off Wyatt Olds in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Wyatt Olds in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jose Cruz in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jose Cruz in the 8th.
