Hit Streak for Willits Reaches 20

Bryce Willits's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Columbus. The 25-year-old first baseman extended it once again, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 1-for-4 performance against the Lake Placid Gators. The River Rats won the game, 9-6.
"People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Bryce Willits hit a sac fly in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
This season, Willits is swinging the bat at a .379 pace. He has hit 11 home runs and scored 49 times, while driving in 60. His on-base percentage is .461 and he has played in 70 games.
