Jarvis 5-for-5 for Bluegrass Tuesday, August 19th , 2025 No matter what the Augusta Greenjackets threw at him, Jim Jarvis hit it. He easily handled Greenjackets pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Bluegrass triumph, 11-9, at Augusta Grounds. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Jarvis's quip, Greenjackets skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Jim Jarvis hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
