Nassau third baseman Jacob Berry had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Charlotte Thunder at Charlotte Grounds as the Thunderballs picked up a win, 16-5.
"He was patient up there," Nassau skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Berry has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Jacob Berry hit a three-run home run off Roman Angelo in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
Looking at his present stats, Berry has compiled a .359 batting average in 9 games with a .375 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 7 runs.
