Horne Torches Terrapins for 5 Hits Sunday, August 31st , 2025 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Bryson Horne, it came around today. The 26-year-old first baseman scattered hits all over Terrapins Ballpark to pace the 7-6 Sarasota Bobcats victory over the Maryland Terrapins. Maryland skipper told reporters in the press room that "Horne deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Horne hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Bryson Horne singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Currently Horne is batting .331 with 9 home runs and 54 RBIs. View Boxscore |
