Pensacola Tops Lake Placid Sunday, September 21st , 2025 The Pensacola faithful were cheering in the streets, and Lake Placid fans wiping away the tears, after the Privateers won the Round 2 at Gators Ballpark today. The Privateers clinched it by knocking off the Gators 8-7 to take their 3rd South Atlantic League crown. Pensacola took the series 4-1. "This club never gave up all year long," Pensacola manager told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did." On the way to the Round 2 title, Pensacola compiled a 94-46 won-loss record and finished first in the South Atlantic League Eastern Division.
