Hits Galore: Castro Drills 5 Hits Thursday, June 25th , 2026 Johnson City shortstop Daniel Castro had a big day at Ballpark of Pikeville against the Pikeville Polecats. The 33-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 13-9 Eagles triumph over Pikeville. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Castro said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Daniel Castro hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Nick Sinacola in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
