Danville Moves on to Round 2
The championship aspirations of the Danville Raiders are still alive and well, while the Easton Grays are left to wait until next year.

Danville won the clinching game of the Round 1 8-5 over Easton at Ballpark of Easton, to win the series 3-1.

"You feel like a little kid again, celebrating something like this," said center fielder Kenedy Corona, who paced the Danville offense and was named series MVP. "We take everything real seriously when we're on the field, but after a series is over you can finally relax a little bit."

Corona claimed the MVP by racking up 7 hits for a .467 average, with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 2 runs.

The Danville Raiders will play against the Alexandria Dukes in the next round. Alexandria won their series against the Newport News Destroyers 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
